Launch of the P4ELECS Building Blocks Platform
Arnhem, at HAN University of Applied Sciences, Ruitenberglaan 26
October 1, 2025 at 16:45
We are pleased to invite stakeholders and media to the official launch of the P4ELECS Building Blocks Platform (BBP) in Arnhem, taking place on 1 October 2025 at 16:30. This is part of the P4ELECS Workshop Days (30 September – 1 October), a landmark event bringing together educators, industry and stakeholders across Europe in the electrification sector.
About P4ELECS & Why It Matters:
P4ELECS (The Platform for Electrification Skills & Competences) is a European collaboration between higher education, vocational training (VET), researchers and innovation organisations. Its mission is to develop modular, flexible, industry-relevant educational content that bridges the gap in skills needed for electrification: from ideation and design through implementation and operation.
The Building Block Platform (BBP) will house “Building Blocks” — modular educational units that can be combined or adapted for tailored curricula, courses and training programs. These BBs are based on the CDIO (Conceive-Design-Implement-Operate) methodology, enabling practical, flexible learning for VET providers, higher education, industry professionals and individual learners.
With the energy transition accelerating, there is a strong need for this kind of flexible, skills-oriented tools. P4ELECS aims to support both reskilling / upskilling and initial training, especially between EQF levels 5-7, so that workers and learners can respond rapidly to emerging industry needs.
What to Expect at the Launch:
During the event, guests will have the chance to:
Be among the first to see the Building Block Platform in action
Hear from P4ELECS leadership about how the platform was developed, the educational methodology behind it (CDIO & modular BBs) and how it is intended to be used across Europe.
See live demonstrations and get access to sample “building blocks” and curricula combinations
Meet education and industry experts engaged in electrification skills ecosystems — the people shaping what the future workforce will need.
Take part in networking opportunities following the launch

Arnhem, the Netherlands – The P4ELECS community and external stakeholders recently gathered at the Sustainable Electrical Energy Centre of Expertise (SEECE) at HAN University of Applied Sciences for several inspiring days dedicated to the future of electrification skills in Europe.
Policy makers, educators and industry experts from across Europe are set to gather in Arnhem this autumn for the P4ELECS Workshop Days, a high-impact event focused on the future of upskilling in the fast-evolving electrification sector. The event, scheduled for 30 September – 1 October 2025, will be hosted at HAN InnovatieLab@Connectr and HAN University of Applied Sciences.
