How we map a complex system

We combined interviews, systems analysis and participatory workshops to reveal the deeper dynamics shaping Europe’s electrification skills landscape. This mixed-methods approach helped us see the system as it really is — its patterns, relationships and leverage points for change.

What the system show us

Across five ecosystems, clear themes emerged. We identified where skills, research and innovation reinforce one another - and where fragmentation, bottlenecks and disconnects slow progress. These insights highlight where strategic action can accelerate the energy transition.

Where collaboration comes to life

Our workshops and video series document ecosystems in action. They capture real people working together, sharing challenges and surfacing new ideas. This brings the human dimension of systems change into focus and makes invisible dynamics of electrification skills visible and relatable.
